Art?

I believe art has been hijacked by some people. Not all art just some that see it as a commodity. I am in the process of spending a good amount of money on getting back to doing fine art. I am not doing it for anybody, but myself. I will probably do what I have done in the past… which is toss the finished pieces before anyone actually has a chance to view them. I have a long ways to go to get to my goal. I am struggling right now just to resolve what art is to me. What is art to you?
