So bad… it’s good.

I have always loved T-shirt designs. I have spent many hours over the years brainstorming on possible cool ideas. But, I don’t think I would have the guts to pull some of these off.

They probably would have more luck with this messaging than with their current messaging. If he was the “Straight Talk” this would be it :)

I am prepping for a trip to Minnesota for the first time in more than 3 years! This is a good trip because my buddy Virgil is getting Married. It is about time one of us “takes the plunge”. I am going to show up a week early to try to catch up with family and friends. I purposely waited until it was nice before making any trips to the ‘Sota. I was trying to think of a good way to try to organize this trip with the many people I am still in contact with in MN. I figure I would try to use some technology to my advantage.

So, I decided to set-up an experiment site at: http://jeremytownmn.ning.com

This should allow me to communicate with people in a way to allow for everyone to see my schedule and try to coordinate something with them. Please visit and let me know what you think.

Media loosing trust

22 Jan 2008 In: Personal

It is amazing how terrible the media has turned in my lifetime. It is such a waste of potential good they could do for the community. However, they are too eager to make a profit. Most people feel the same way

Journalism.org- The State of the News Media 2006

I really wish we could get away from all the bull that exists now. I mean, whatever happened to news going on around the world. I don’t ever hear anything. I have to watch the BBC news to see anything that is happening outside of our borders. That is so sad.

Where have I been?

20 Nov 2007 In: Personal

I have been quite distracted for the last several months. I have started a new job at a company called Ascentium. It has been a good fit so far. I have been challenged and look forward to continue to expand my skills and knowledge.

I have been fighting off a cold. I have been dating a very great woman that has put up with me for 9 months now :) No easy feat as many could attest to. I have been volunteering my “free time” to the AIGA and trying to find someone that is able to fill my roll as webmaster there. I have missed my friends and family I haven’t seen for a long time. I have had a lot of fun with the many new friends I have met in Stumptown. I am looking to the holidays a bit. I am looking to actually get back to the Jeremytown.com site and make a whole lot more changes and actually get it so it is decent. I am looking to go to bed.

Empty Calories = Fat Ass

19 Sep 2007 In: Odd + Strange News, Personal

I have personally gone through phases of the years that I didn’t drink any or little soda. Then there has been times that I have drank nothing but soda. I am currently drinking too much soda. I do notice a difference in my weight and how I feel when that is the case. Check out a pretty obvious article.

Nutritionists: Soda making Americans drink themselves fat – CNN.com

If you’re searching for a villain in America’s obesity epidemic, most nutritionists tell you to put one picture on the wanted poster: a cold, bubbly glass of soda pop.
